Epson reveals laser printers are damaging the environment and expects to stop selling them by 2026

Epson, a famous printer manufacturer from Japan, has revealed that it will stop selling laser printers by 2026 because the company believes that ink jet printers have more potential and are better at protecting the environment.

In this regard, Epson has suspended the sale of laser printers in some markets, but continues to market in Asia and Europe, although the problem is that new hardware may not be accessible, but Epson still supports spare parts and consumables as before.

This is revealed by the marketing department explaining about this issue, Epson wants to operate sustainably and in comparison, Ink Jet uses less energy and is less wasteful compared to Laser which requires heat to melt the powder. The ink on the paper uses more energy and the Ink Jet uses up to 85% less energy and carbon dioxide emissions, and saves 59% on ink replacement.
